Anaphylaxis

This course is designed for workplace First Aiders, working in an environment where they may have to deal with those more susceptible to anaphylaxis.

This is a 3 hour course and is available on site.  More information on the elements covered can be found below.

The anaphylaxis training syllabus covers:

• Understanding the roles and responsibilities of a First Aider.
• Assessing the situation and acting safely, effectively and promptly in an emergency
• Dealing with an unconscious casualty
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Record keeping and administration of medications
• Definition of anaphylaxis
• Common causes of anaphylaxis
• Recognition
• Treatment including the use of an Auto-Injector
